Mrs. Betty Jane Bevill, 82, formerly of Philadelphia, Mo and Quincy, Il passed away Wednesday, Oct 20, 2010 at the Maple Lawn Nursing Home in Palmyra. Betty was born May 21, 1928 in Palmyra, Missouri to Edward Arthur "Boy" and Annie Lee Roach Fagan. Betty was married to Clemont J. Bevill July 4, 1945 in Philadelphia, Missouri and had celebrated 65 wonderful years together. he survives of the home.

Survivors include:daughter, Sheryl Stratton of Osage Beach, MO; sons: Eddy Bevill & wife Loretta of Philadelphia, MO; Lee Bevill of Hopkinsville, KY; grandchildren: Breck Stratton of Springfield, MO; Kendelle Seidner of Jefferson City, MO; Camelia Bevill and Carrie Mae Bevill of Philadelphia; Amanda ( Chuck ) Woodward of Griggsville, IL; Israel Bevill of Philadelphia; Heidi Frazier of Grain Valley, MO; Jonathan Dean Bevill of Fort Bliss, TX; Step Granddaughter Sarah Wells Scott of Marthasville, MO; great grandchilren: Alexys Stratton, Hannibal; Bella Seidner, Jefferson City; Hailey Seidner and Cole Seidner, Jefferson City; Thad Neisen, Olathe, Ks; Austin Bevill, Philadelphia; Megan Smith, Philadelphia; Mackenzie Smith, Philadelphia; Peyton Woodward, Griggsville; Garrett Woodward, Griggsville; Alana Sue Frazier, Grain Valley, Mo; step great grandchildren; Nick Koffman, Philadelphia; Katherine Miller, Philadelphia; Ella Scott and Jack Scott, Marthasville, mo. also, nieces: Nancy Reese, Wentzville, Mo; Sue Grohe, Des Moines, Ia; and Pat Fagan, Columbia, Mo. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Herbert, Tom and Card Fagan.

Betty had worked for many years as a consultant and fashion show director for Sarah Coventry Company and for seven years in a row attained their highest honor thru their National Million Dollar Weeks Contest. She had formerly sold Avon as a product sales representative.

She was a graduate of Philadelphia High School in 1945.

Betty was a loving, caring and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. she treasured the Christmas Holiday season spending time with family and friends. Also, she loved to travel with her husband, not only with their mobile home, but also taking 34 cruises . she cherished spending time at their vacation home in Arizona and later their condo at the Landing. She was a lifelong member of the Philadelphia Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the Philadelphia Baptist Church. Rev. Roger Stevens, Rev Henry Pratt, Rev. Kevin Scott and Rev. Millie Reed will officiate. Burial will be at the Philadelphia Cemetery in Philadelphia , Missouri. Visitation will be from 5-8:00 pm Friday at the Lewis Brothers Funeral Chapel. There will also be another visitation from 1-2:00 pm Saturday at the Philadelphia Baptist Church. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association .
