Dorothy B. Losier

Dorothy B. Losier, 89, of Newhall, California, formerly of Palmyra, Missouri passed away Friday, December 28, 2012 at the Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital in Valencia, Ca. Dorothy was born January 16, 1923 in Palmyra, Missouri to William F. D. and Henrietta C. Schade Burkhardt. Dorothy married Herman Lee Powell June 8, 1941and he preceded her in death Oct 25, 1950. She later married George E. " Bud" Losier in 1954 in Newhall, California. He preceded her in death January 21, 1998. She is survived by a daughter, Connie Murillo and husband Richard of Newhall, CA; brother, Gerald Burkhardt and wife Susan of Lodi, CA; sisters: Helen Dobbs of Bennington, OK; Delores Baker and husband Charles of LaQuinta, CA; grandsons, Glenn Woodard of Chandler, AZ; John Manless of Mesa, AZ; granddaughter, Darlene Rowe of Huntington Beach, Ca. ; grandson Richard Murillo of Huntington Beach, Ca., and three great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents. Dorothy was a 1941 graduate of Palmyra High School. She was a bank operations manager for Bank of America in Newhall California. She was a member of the Xi Nu Zeta Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi sorority and formerly attended Zion Lutheran Church in Palmyra. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 5, 2013 at Lewis Brothers Funeral Chapel in Palmyra. Rev. David Johnson will officiate. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Palmyra, Missouri. Visitation will be held from 5-7:00 p. m. Friday, January 4, 2013 at Lewis Brothers Funeral Chapel. Memorials may be made to Susan G. Komen Foundation. Casket Bearers are Richard Murillo, Paul Dobbs, Dale Watters, Kent Bross, Doug Bross, and Charles Burkhardt.
